The distribution process of 600 metrics amended wheat seeds and chemical fertilizer started in Helmand province. A statement from media office of governor stated that through this process each farmer will receive 50 Kg amended seeds and 150 Kg chemical fertilizer. The officials assured transparency of the process while distributing the seeds yesterday. According to them, all farmers should receive the seed indiscriminately. Ministry of Agriculture Irrigation and Livestock had signed contract of this project to Boost Agricultural Company. Ahmad Shah Khairi agriculture director of Helmand said that they have specific plans to modernize the agriculture sector in this province. Meanwhile measured estimates of agricultural officials states that cultivation of amended seeds in each hectare of land is doubled than non-amended seeds.
