Duties & Responsibilities

Have a thorough review of all training materials including training manuals and curriculum.

Make sure all the training materials including the training manuals and curriculum (both Dari and Pashto versions) are standardized and responsive to the needs of target audiences/trainees.

Design, plan and deliver trainings in the target locations.

Coordinate, advertise, organize and facilitate trainings in the field.

Have sufficient background knowledge and information of Afghanistan peace process and able to communicate with CSOs, relevant government entities and other stakeholders in the field.

Have strong analytical skills and able to respond to all queries of the trainees/project stakeholders.

Make sure trainees at the target locations are informed about the themes/content of the trainings and that trainees are registered themselves for the DHSA/TKG assisted trainings ahead of time.

In close coordination with the program team of DHSA and local counterparts in the field, invite trainees for the selected DHSA/TKG trainings.

Able to travel to Balkh, Herat, Kandahar, Nangarhar, Khost, Badakhshan, Faryab, Bamyan and Takhar provinces and manage the routine implementation of the scheduled trainings in the target localities.

Develop a detailed training plan including training monitoring component.

Make sure that s/he is fully prepared and the training materials and training facilities are available and fully equipped prior to the trainings.

Manage training schedules, pre-and post-training forms, course evaluation and certificates.

Control the quality of training sessions and make sure M&E forms are used in the training center.

Work closely with DHSA program team, M&E officer and other relevant departments to make sure quality trainings are developed and delivered and areas of improvement are suggested.

Reports on training activities including all the supporting documents (i.e., sign-in sheets, pre and posttest papers, trainees’ feedback and training evaluation sheets) are collected and submitted to DHSA/TKG main office on timely manner.

Assist in organizing surveys, interviews, group discussions and other technical and promotional events besides training efforts as and when advised by the program team of DHSA/TKG.

Make sure all the relevant files including: training documents, all sorts of training forms, interview sheets, training evaluation reports, monitoring reports, trainees’ suggestions/recommendations, all sorts of training materials and any other training related tools and materials are appropriately maintained at the training centers and at the central DHSA/TKG office in Kabul.

Any other task assigned by his/her supervisor.



Minimum Qualification:

The incumbent should have a strong background in education and trainings.

At least three years of experience in designing and delivering trainings – experience with peace building and democracy programs is an advantage.

Have good up to date knowledge of peace promotion/peace building processes in Afghanistan and able to demonstrate the knowledge during the trainings.

S/he have good knowledge of training demands and should be acquainted with modern training methodologies.

Minimum a bachelor degree with 3 years of relevant experience.

The incumbent is expected to have up to date knowledge of training methodologies and should be able to execute them in the class.

Excellent written and communication skills in Dari and Pashto.

Proficiency in English language will be an advantage

Able to use MS Office, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Negotiation and conflict management skills

Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation in handling all assigned tasks.
