Afghanistan Cricket Board contributed foodstuff to thousands of war-torn families in Kunduz province. The contribution was collected through a charity match of cricket players in Kabul. Farid Hotak spokesman of Cricket Board said that earlier they along with local officials had identified affected families and had given them donation cards. According to him, the foodstuff was distributed by Cricket Board officials to 550 war-torn families in presence of provincial officials. He added that each family received a sack of flour, a bottle of oil, beans, and a sack of rice. Afghan cricket players are going to launch another charity match next Friday to raise funds for war-torn and displaced families from Helmand and Uruzgan provinces.
