Closure of 60 Schools in Ghor

Almost 60 schools are closed in unsecured area of Ghor province. Local officials told Killid that 28 thousands of students are deprived of education due to closure of schools. According to Abdul Hai Habibi governor spokesman there are 230 thousands of students both boys and girls. He further added that lack of notebooks, training equipment, and qualified teachers are their main challenges. Meanwhile millions of dollars have been spend on education in the west zone in the past 15 years but officials at independent human rights commission said that 50 percent of children are still deprived of education in the west zone of the country. That is, thousands of schools are closed in different parts of the country especially in unsecured provinces due to armed violence, and presence of armed opposition groups.
