According to an announcement of the ministry, during the current demonstrations in Iran, seven French citizens have been arrested by the Iranian forces.
Meanwhile, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna says that if the purpose of arresting these citizens is blackmail, it will not work.
Although it is not known who these two French citizens are and why they were arrested, last month Iran announced the arrest of nine citizens of European countries on charges of espionage in this country.
More than 15,000 people have been arrested during the protests of the Iranian people, which have been going on since 16th September.
