Ghor province hosted the second round of the MMA competitions among athletes from four regions.

The Second Round of MMA Competitions Started in Ghor Province

These competitions were held on Friday (14 October) with the participation of Ghor province officials and a large number of people in the presence of the media, in Firoozkoh Sports Gymnasium.

Master Hamidullah Aymaq, the person in charge of the MMA field, said: “This is the second round of MMA competitions hosted by Ghor province in Firoozkoh city, the capital of this province”.

“These competitions were held for one day to identify and select the top figures of Afghanistan so that these figures can represent Afghanistan in the international MMA Competitions.”

At the same time, athletes who participated from Kabul, Herat, Parwan, and Baghlan provinces in these competitions, said these competitions are beneficial in creating an atmosphere of unity and mutual acceptance among the youth and other citizens.

Mukhtar, one of the participants, said: “We need more support from the Islamic Emirate so that we can continue these competitions in the best way.”

Ahmad, another athlete, also asked for more support from the authorities: “athletes always trying to bring pride to the country, so we ask the Islamic Emirate to provide more support to the athletes.”

In this round of competitions, 18 athletes from five provinces of Afghanistan fought against each other. As a result, 4 fighters from Herat province, 2 from Parwan province, 1 from Kabul province, and 2 from Ghor province were recognized as winners during this round of competitions.
