This ministry, in a report announced: “during 2021, 122 women in France were murdered by their current or former husbands”.
On the other hand, the report states that during this year, 21 men were also killed by their current and former wives.
In 2020, 102 women and in 2019, 146 women died in France due to family violence.
This is despite the fact that violence against women has increased in France and in 2021, one out of every three women has experienced violence.
