The national team opted to bat first and managed to set a target of 216 for the rival Bangladesh. Afghans, however, lost the game by four wickets.
The national team are featuring Bangladesh in a three-match ODI and a two-match T20I series.
Second and third ODIs are scheduled for 25th, and 28th February and two T20Is on 3rd and 5th March respectively, according to cricket board.
The three-match ODI series will be part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League, and the two T20Is will count towards the ICC Rankings as well as will be part of the preparation process for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 respectively.
