Qadir’s Concerns over Daesh Activity

Deputy speaker of Wolesi Jirga, Zahir Qadir, warned on Saturday that Daesh activities had increased in Nangarhar and they will extend their activities by Establishing Khorasan caliphate if they grasp the Tora Bora Area of Nangarhar. Qadir said, “ISIS has control of the strategic and sensitive areas. They have decided to enter Tora Bora, if they do, they are going to establish Khorasan caliphate.” Meanwhile Washington has also warned that ISIS is trying to find safe heavens where there is no government control as they were being suppressed in Iraq and Syria. Dawlat Waziri, defense ministry spokesman, said, “Ground and air operations are ongoing against ISIS in Nangarhar; they (ISIS) are being hunted until they are eliminated.” Analysts said that ISIS will be wiped out of the country. Former military official Atiqullah Amarkhail said, “If ISIS is not suppressed heavily in Nangarhar, security will disrupt and people will suffer terribly.”
