International Monetary Fund Agreed on 3 billion dollars aid to Pakistan
The International Monetary Fund has agreed to assistance worth $3 billion to Pakistan.
Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund have reached the first agreement for $3 billion in Pakistan, and it will be finalized in the future by high-ranking officials and the board of directors of global lenders after eight months of delay.
Following this agreement, the Central Bank of Pakistan has increased its interest rate to 22%.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s economy has been facing problems for years, and the global energy crisis and devastating floods last year made the situation worse.
It should be noted that Pakistan is facing the worst economic crisis since independence from Britain in 1947.
