DHSA seeks to be self-sustainable, striving to create and manage projects, which generate their own incomes and reduce dependence on donors.
TKG was created by DHSA in 2002 as a public media initiative dedicated to increasing public access to independent information in an effort to improve lives, to foster pluralism and give voices of reason and freedom in Afghanistan greater opportunities for expression. TKG operates ten local radio stations (Radio Killid Network)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage all related projects ensuring that commitments with regard to funding parties and expected output and outcome are met within deadlines;

Make sure the implementation of the Project are in line with given activities and work plan.

Lead the development of work plan, trainings and periodical work sessions and meetings for the project and update the staff in terms of orientation of the tasks and activities.

Identify implementation arrangements and needed resources to implement the Project and ensure proper management of Funds, including accounting, financial control.

Provide the management with a monthly written update regarding the fulfillment of on-going activities, contributing with donor in evaluation  of the project impact achieved by each and the feed-back provided by partners eventually involved in its implementation;

In interaction with the Finance section, write interim and final narrative reports, ensure the financial reports are produced by the Finance Division, all within contractual deadlines and in time to be considered together by the management before delivery to third parties;

Review and check of data collecting during assessment from field staff.

Attend meetings with potential donors and clients, gather fund raising opportunities, and write related concept notes and project proposals in English ;( needs to Omit).

Attend meetings with provincial body’s (Dept. of Health, Refugees, MRRD and other government sectorial department’s monthly base or as per need for better coordination and prevention of contingencies.

Update and orientation of project team time to time and correct any mistake arise during implementation of activities.

Contribute to the implementation of public communication and information needed for any of the project activities as outlined in the proposal.

Monitoring and reviewing of work progress in field and oversee (all activities in the work plan) and updating to Kabul DHSA M&E Manager.

Controlling activities of field staff.

Conducts weekly, monthly and quarterly staff meeting with site staff in order to make sure that the activities are done according to work plan.

Facilitation for DHSA Kabul and Donor M&E visits.

Capacity to act upon problems, problem solving and judgment skills and demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, availability to dialogue and responsive to inputs and advices.

Other duties as assigned by program manager/program director or DHSA management

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Have Bachelor/ Master Degree in Project Management/Human Resource or related field.

4-5 Years of experience in the managerial positions in field level

Have tracked management experience of complex projects and programs and working with CSOs, community and emergency situation related to IDPs and returnees.

Practical working experience of the job placement with any local, national or international organization

Ability to write report

Have tracked experience with the media sector.

Be an Afghan national;

Be used to work in multicultural and team-based environments;

Be fluent in Dari, Pashto and English. Perfect spoken and written English is a condition for being selected.
