March 3 (The Killid Group) ─ Twitter told its employees to work from home to help stop the rapid spread of the COVID-19.

Media quoted Twitter as saying in a blog post, it was mandatory for staff in Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea to work remotely.

The company also said it was “strongly encouraging” all of its 5,000 employees around the world to not come into work.

Twitter as other leading technology companies such as Google and Facebook announced that it won’t participate in South by Southwest (SXSW) conference as companies restrict travel over fears about the novel coronavirus.

South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the tech industry’s biggest annual events that was set to take place this month in Austin, Texas.
