The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced in a statement the capture of Soledar city on Friday (13th January) after nearly two weeks of fierce fighting.
Moscow said the capture of this city is an important achievement for Russia and this victory will cause the Russian forces to capture the city of Bakhmut as well.
On the other hand, Ukraine called Moscow’s claim baseless and said that its forces were confronting Russian troops in this city.
It should be mentioned that the city of Soledar is known as a mining city in Ukraine, which is vital and important for the future war between Ukraine and Russia.
