Afghanistan’s leg spinner Rashid Khan, who impressed everyone with his skills in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) by grabbing 21 wickets, was presented with the CEAT Cricket Ratings T20 Bowler of the Year Award on Monday night in Mumbai.
The awards night took place a day after the conclusion of the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League. Interestingly, Rashid had a phenomenal time in the IPL this year as well.
Rashid played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad and was very instrumental in taking his side to the finals of the tournament.
Rashid finished the tournament as the second leading wicket taker.
He scalped 21 wickets in the 17 matches that he played at an economy rate of just 6.73.
His best performance came against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Qualifier 2.
Rashid ended IPL 2018 with 21 wickets, just behind Kings XI’s Andrew Tye, who returned with 24 wickets for the purple cap.
