Volodymyr Zelensky, in a video message on his Facebook page, said: “Russian forces continued to fire on Zaporizhzhia and did not evacuate their weapons from the plant”.
Meanwhile, Zelensky expressed hope that Ukraine will be able to take control of the Zaporizhzhia power plant.
He added that he has also discussed with Rafael Grossi the Secretary General of the International Atomic Energy Agency about the status of this power plant. This is despite the fact that in the past weeks, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant has been attacked several times.
Russia and Ukraine blame each other for these attacks.
