Herat (The Killid) – At least one local security official and another Iran national have been killed in a landmine explosion in Ghoriyan district of Herat province, local authorities confirmed.
Jelani Farhad, Spokesman for the provincial governor, told The Killid, “Sunday afternoon, a ranger (police vehicle) crossed over a landmine at Shamtegh of Ghoriyan district, killing at least one Afghan force and an Iranian national.”
According to Farhad, during the incident, three further Afghan forces and two of Iran civilians were wounded.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the cause.
