21 Terrorist Networks Involve Behind Ghazni Attack

At least 21 terrorist networks are involved in attacks on Ghazni city, Sharif Yaftali, the army chief of staff said Saturday.

During a press conference in Kabul, Yaftali said all the terrorist networks operating in the country are supported by the regional intelligences, particularly Pakistan.

“The Lashkar-e Taiba fighters are also involved in Ghazni attack that many of them have been killed by Afghan security forces,” Yaftali asserted.

In the meantime, the army chief of staff stated that all of the strategic points in Ghazni city including National Security Directorate, the building of province and security headquarter come under the control of Afghan security forces.

Yaftali noted the Taliban militants are hidden in shops and residential houses, taking position and cause obstacles for security forces’ operations.

This comes as the Ministry of Interior (MoI) yesterday announced that more than 150 Taliban insurgents were killed in Afghan forces raids.
