According to an announcement from the Ministry of National Defense, the strengthening of good relations between the two countries was also discussed in this meeting.
At the same time, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the political deputy of the prime minister’s office, expressed his condolences to the governments and people of Syria and Turkey due to the recent earthquake.
It should be mentioned that on Monday (6th February), two earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.8 and 7.5 degrees occurred in the city of Kahramanmaras, Turkey, near the Syrian border.
According to the latest statistics, as a result of these earthquakes, 2,921 people died in Turkey and nearly 16,000 others were injured.
On the other hand, 1,356 people died in Syria as a result of this earthquake.
It should be mentioned that about 17 member countries of the European Union have sent their rescue teams to Turkey, and according to officials, the number of victims is increasing.
