On the other hand, officials say that they are trying to solve people’s health issues and build new health centers.

(We can share every detail with female doctors, but we can’t tell male doctors because we are embarrassed)

Zarmina, who lives in Trinkot city, the capital of Uruzgan province, says that the lack of female doctors in this province has created problems for them and they cannot explain women’s diseases to male doctors.

This woman says that Uruzgan residents, especially women, need female doctors in the health sector.

‘We are very confused about what to do, where to take our patients, we don’t have the equipment, and there are very few female doctors here.

There is a great need for female doctors in Uruzgan.

Golnaz is another woman who says that there is no access to female doctors and that is why most births are done at home.

‘The government should increase the number of female doctors. We need them badly. Doctors are not easy to find.’

Mohammad Ashraf, a resident of Uruzgan province, says that Uruzgan is a very deprived province and no health services are provided to this province.

He says that due to the lack of female doctors, they have to send women to male doctors.
‘If we have female doctors in here, then we will not go to a male doctor and we will be happy. Our women in remote areas die on their way to the city.

On the other hand, the officials of this province say that they have paid attention to the health issues of Uruzgan and now there are midwives in 56 health centers.

Dr. Mohammadullah Rouhani, head of public health in Uruzgan province, added that 50 new health centers are planned in areas where people do not have access to hospitals and health centers, and female doctors and midwives will also be sent to them.

‘Currently, we have midwives in all 56 Uruzgan health centers. In the future, we plan to build 50 health centers in areas where there are no clinics, which will solve these problems completely, and midwives will be given special training and then they will work in these centers.

Uruzgan is a province in the south of Afghanistan, many of its health centers have been destroyed by past wars, and health services have not received much attention. On the other hand, the lack of doctors and midwives is a problem for the people of the country, while girls’ schools above sixth grade have been closed for the past year and a half.
