This ministry has warned American citizens that after the death of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of the Al-Qaeda group, this group might seek to attack US citizens.
In the statement of the US Department of State, this is mentioned: “After al-Zawahiri’s death, supporters of Al-Qaeda or its affiliated terrorist organizations may seek to attack US facilities, personnel, or citizens.”
Ayman Al-Zawahiri was killed by an American drone attack in Kabul on Sunday, the 31st July this year. Al-Zawahiri took over the leadership of Al-Qaeda after the death of Osama bin Laden in 2011.
