Members of United Nations Security Council in a joint statement called on Islamic Emirate to reverse its policies and practices restricting human rights and freedom of girls and women.
They renewed a call on the Afghanistan’s rulers to adhere to their commitments to reopen schools for all girls without further delay.
Members of the U.N. Security Council also voiced concern about decision to dissolve several key national institutions
The government in a new move dismantled the human rights commission, rule of law, national reconciliation and several other key institutions, which sparked widespread reactions.
It has also banned girls from secondary schools from attending to school.
Meantime, rules for hijab and movement announced for girls and women include covering faces and only leaving home in case of necessity.
