COVID-19: Afghanistan Reports 23 New Cases

Afghanistan on Tuesday, November 2, reported 23 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, bringing the nationwide case count to 156,307, official data shows.

The new cases were registered in Kandahar, Nangarhar, Takhar, Baghlan and Ghazni provinces.

Also, no patient has died of COVID-19 in the previous 24-hours period. The nationwide deaths stands at 7,281.

Health ministry’s data showed that coronavirus that 57 patients got better in the 24-hours period.

This pushed the total recoveries to 128,791.

Although COVID-19 infections has been at the lowest, officials ask residents to follow health measures.

Worldwide, more than 247.1 million people have been infected by the coronavirus, according to a NYT’s tally published on November 2.

The number of global deaths surpassed five million on Monday.
