24 April (The Killid Group) — The coronavirus (COVID-19) is affecting 185 countries around the world, with more than 2.7 million confirmed infections and more than 190,000 deaths, according to a tally by JHU’s Coronavirus Center.

Statistics released by John Hopkins University indicated that worldwide there have been 2,703,615 infections in 185 countries across the globe.

The worldwide death toll from the highly contagious coronavirus, however, hit 190,490, a tally by John Hopkins University indicated.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) infection toll has exceeded 800,000 in the United States, the worst-affected country as of today, with 49,759 total deaths, mostly in New York city, according to the statistics released by John Hopkins University.

Following the U.S., Spain has registered the highest number of COVID-19 infections, more than 213,000 as of today, while the death toll in the country has hit 22,157.

Italy also remains the country with the highest number of cases, with about 189,973 confirmed infections, while the death toll hit 25,549, the highest number of deaths after the United States, according to figures collated by Johns Hopkins University.

Sorted from A-Z, the infection toll in all across continents is as: in Africa, the five countries reporting most cases are South Africa (3,953) with 75 deaths, Egypt (3,891) with 287 deaths, Morocco (3,568) with 155 deaths, Algeria (3,007) with 407 total deaths, and Cameroon (1,334) with 43 deaths.

In Asia, the five countries reporting most cases are Turkey (101,790) with 2,491 deaths, Iran (87,026) with 5,481 deaths, China (83,878) with 4,636 fatalities, Russia (62,773) with 555 deaths and India(23,039) with 721 total fatalities.

In America, the five countries reporting most cases are United States (866,646) and a total of 49,759 deaths, Brazil (49,492) with 3,313 deaths, Canada (43,254) with 2,239 deaths, Peru (20,914) with 572 deaths and Ecuador (11,812) with 168 total deaths.

In Europe, the five countries reporting most cases are Spain (213,024) with 22,157 fatalities, Italy (189,973) with 25,549 deaths, France (159,460) with 21,889 deaths, Germany (153,129) with 5,575 total deaths, and the United Kingdom (139,246) with a total of 18,791 total fatalities.

In Oceania, the two countries reporting most cases are Australia (6,661) with a total of 75 deaths, New Zealand (1,451) with 16 deaths.

The virus is spreading rapidly in many countries and the death toll is still climbing, and countries continue to battle the novel coronavirus as it infects more than 2.7 million around the world.
