Afghanistan’s Coronavirus Cases Rise by 141

Afghanistan registered 141 new coronavirus infections in its daily rise, reported the country’s health ministry on Saturday.

At least 141 people were tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic within the past 24 hours, said the health ministry, bringing the total to 50,677.

At least 20 patients died from the illness during the same period, pushing the total deaths to 2,074, according to ministry’s figures.

Also, 359 patients having been contracted with the COVID-19 disease have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of coronavirus recoveries to 39,158.

Worldwide, 1,683,510 have died from the deadly disease and over 75.3 million more have been infected since the start of an outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December.
