A Senior Qatari Official Visited Kabul and Met with the Officials of the Islamic Emirate

Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani, the special representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar for the fight against terrorism and mediation in conflict resolution, traveled to Kabul and discussed with the officials of the Islamic Emirate about the political, economic, and educational developments in Afghanistan.

A Senior Qatari Official Visited Kabul and Met with the Officials of the Islamic Emirate

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that he met separately with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Motaghi, Acting Minister of Interior Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Education Habibullah Agha, and General Director of Intelligence of the Islamic Emirate Abdul Haq Wasiq.

In a statement of the ministry, it is stated that Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani, in these meetings, emphasized the continuation of Qatar’s efforts to support and facilitate efforts to reach a political consensus that would ensure security and stability in Afghanistan.

On the other hand, he has said that his country supports the people of Afghanistan to achieve their rights, especially the right to education and work for girls and women.

Qatar, which hosts the embassies of a number of western countries for Afghanistan, has called the recent decisions of the Islamic Emirate regarding the work and education of women and girls worrying.
