An explosion has rocked Daman district in southern Kandahar province, the provincial governor’s spokesman Bahir Ahmadi confirmed to TKG, without providing details on casualties and the type of explosion.
Sources have reported the explosion was caused by explosives packed into a car targeting the police headquarters of Daman district.
No one immediately claimed responsibility.
The Afghan Ministry of Interior has confirmed the attack was caused by explosives loaded in a car and targeted police headquarters of Daman district.
Its initial report of casualties said at least 11 policemen have been wounded.
