A car bomb went off in Shah Wali Kot district of the southern Kandahar province last night at around 3:30am, leaving one security forces member killed and another three injured, the district governor, Fazel Mohammad Gharib Shah confirmed to TKG.
Security sources, however, told media that the blast left three Afghan soldiers killed and more than a dozen injured.
No insurgent group has so far claimed responsibility.
