COVID-19 Death Toll  in United States Hits More Than 14,000

April 9 (The Killid Group) — The total death from the coronavirus pandemic in U.S. has jumped to more than 14,000 , according to the data provided by John Hopkins University.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) infection toll hit at least 432,132 in the United States, with 14,718 total deaths, mostly in New York city, according to a tally by John Hopkins University..

The New York City remains the country’s worst-hit part, with a total of 4,755 deaths in the city.

According to media reports, new research has indicated that the coronavirus began to circulate in the New York area by mid-February, weeks before the first confirmed case, and that it was brought to the region mainly by travelers from Europe, not Asia.

Globally, 184 countries have been affected, over 88,000 people have died and more than 1.4 million infected by the illness as it spreads rapidly to new territories, according to a tally by John Hopkins University.
