March 23 (The Killid Group) – Media reported the U.S. Secretary of State Mike Poempeo has arrived in Kabul on an unannounced trip.
Despite the coronavirus outbreak, the U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has landed in Kabul on Monday to try to move forward a U.S. peace deal signed last month with the Taliban.
According to media reports, Mr. Pompeo is to meet with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and his main political rival Dr. Abdullah Abdullah who proclaims he is the winner of Afghanistan presidential elections.
The U.S.-Taliban agreement was signed by Khalilzad and a senior Taliban official on February 29 in Doha.
