KABUL (The Killid) – Afghan President Ashraf Ghani called on religious scholars to encourage people to participate in upcoming presidential elections due on 28, September.
Ghani at his second campaigning gathering Thursday, speaking to a group of religious scholars, said voting is a national and religious commitment of every Afghan and that the country’s scholars should encourage people to vote in the presidential election.
Meanwhile, participants criticized on the going insecurities and urged government to ensure protections of all masjids and madrasa.

Afghan presidential election campaign has officially begun as of Saturday July 28, 2019, providing candidates 60 days to fight the political battle in their favor.
