One-Sidedness of Gov't Clear Depiction of Fraud in Elections: Mohaqiq
KABUL (The Killid) – A prominent Afghan politician Mohammad Mohaqiq at a press conference Tuesday in Mazar-e-Sharif city said one-sidedness of the government is a clear depiction of fraud in upcoming presidential elections.
"Even immorality and sexual bribery became common at ARG (also Presidential Palace), which has been a disgrace to the people of Afghanistan; and this stigma must be cleansed from the government apparatus."
According to Mohaqiq, the recent activities of the President are paving the way for fraud in upcoming elections. If this is not prevented, political parties and presidential nominees will come up with a huge protest, and will boycott the presidential elections.
It comes at a time United States Special Envoy Zalmay Khalilzad met with former Governor Atta Mohammad Noor and a number of prominent Afghan politicians, including Mohammad Mohaqiq, in Mazar-e-Sharif province in north.
According to sources, they discussed topics around peace process in Afghanistan, where Kahlilzad also met with a number of prominent security officials in the city.
