Balkh (The Killid) – Provincial authorities nabbed a city driver for battering traffic police in Northern Province.
Adel Shah Adel, provincial police spokesman, told the Killid, “The man was driving through a wrong direction, breaking the traffic law, and when the traffic police intervened, the driver in cooperation with his passengers started beating him.”
According to Adel, police could identify the driver through his car’s plate number and has been taken to a police custody.
It comes after an eye witness filmed the incident at Sayed Abad square of Mazar-e-Sharif province and shared it on social media. The video clearly shows traffic police facing physical assault, as it made the government to take immediate actions.
