16 Taleban Insurgents Killed and Wounded in Kunduz Air strikes

Afghan-led airstrikes in Kunduz targeted sanctuaries of Taleban in Buz-e-Kandahari and Hazrat Sultan area of the province. A press release of Pamir 20 Division sent to media stated that six Taleban insurgents were killed and 12 other injured in Afghan National Army (ANA) airstrikes. Quoting Brigadier Gen. Sayed Qurban Mosavi, chief of Pamir 20 Division, the statement said that a machine gun, a SPG9 and a vehicle of the Taleban were destroyed in the airstrikes. Chief of Pamir 20 Division stressed that security and defence forces operation will continue against Taleban insurgents until they are totally wiped out of the province. This follow as Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah in a visit with the governor and tribal elders of the province had stressed that the government, specially, security and defence forces are committed to provide security and crush armed oppositions in the centre and districts of the province.
