On the first death anniversary of Qurban Ali Erfani, former Member of Parliament, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah said the government must take immediate action to bridge the gap with the public before the situation deteriorates. Monopolisation of power would definitely create a distance between government and people. He said, “If there is discrimination and monopoly of power in leaders’ speech or act, the government would lose people’s trust.” The chief executive said, “The country’s politic undoubtedly has got problems that could escalate if attention is not paid to the situation and wisely handled.” Second vice president Mohammad Sarwar Danish reiterated that nepotism and bias is much more dangerous than war and insecurity. He said, “A nepotism-practicing politician is much more dangerous than war and security itself. Such practices are against the Constitution and will weaken the government.” Muhammad Mohaqiq, second deputy to the chief executive, also said that neither Abdullah nor President Ashraf Ghani should think of being above others. They should work together and not sideline anyone.
