United States President Donald Trump says he is not in hurry to pull out his forces still in Afghanistan, adding there is not exact timeline set with the Taliban for withdrawal yet.
In the sideline of the G7 Summit in France, Trump said Monday the negotiation parties so far did not set a timeline for US Troops withdrawal, and Washington is not in rush.
He added that America is negotiating with the Taliban for a political settlement in Afghanistan, as well as to end the US longest-fought mission since 2001 in the country.
Trumps remarks came at a time the US Special Envoy Zalmay Khalilzad entered ninth round of talks with the Taliban representatives in Qatar, where both parties are expected to sign a peace deal within a week or two.
The Doha talks focuse on four major issues, including US troops withdrawal, Taliban assurance of not using Afghanistan as springboard for attacks against other nations, a comprehensive ceasefire and intra-Afghan dialogues.
