Taleban Release Civilian Hostages in Wardak

Local officials of Maidan Wardak province reported that four civilians kidnapped by Taleban were released last week. Press release of Maidan Wardak stated that Taleban kidnapped four civilians from Jalrez district on Sunday last week allegedly in charge of collaboration with government. The press release further added that soon after the incident, governor of Maidan Wardak assigned tribal elders and some other influential figures to contact with kidnappers. The press release further added that through mediation of tribal elders, all the abductees were released consecutively. Taleban are yet to comment on the release of the hostages.
