More than 30 passengers were killed and injured in a traffic accident on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in Moqar district of Ghazni province yesterday evening. A press release from Ghazni police commandment sent to Killid stated that the incident happened yesterday evening when a passenger bus collided with a trailer. The statement added that two passengers of the bus were killed and 32 others including women and children sustained injuries. Chief of Ghazni police said that the cause of the accident is drivers’ indiscretion. Meanwhile officials at Afghan National Army 3rd Squad based in Ghazni said that four people were killed and more than 40 others were injured in the accident. A statement from the Squad sent to Killid stated that the injured were transferred to nearby health facilities by Afghan Army personnel. Traffic accidents are the second major cause of death after war.
