GHOOR (The Killid Group) – At least two dead, including a child, after a roadside mine went off in western province of Ghoor, local authorities confirmed.
Abdul Hai Khatbi, Spokesman for the Ghoor Governor, in a phone interview with The Killid said, “yesterday (Tuesday) a man with his daughter-in-law and his newborn grandchild were heading to Do Laina district from the central province, when their motorbike hit a roadside mine.”
The man, including his newborn grandchild is killed, and the daughter-in-law is injured, he added.
Khatbi did not provide further details on identity of the victims, but said the mine was previously planted by the Taliban in the area – targeting Afghan forces.
Taliban did not immediately comment on the incident.
