Kabul (The Killid) – Afghanistan Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority said its administration plans to tighten documentation and bureaucracy system after upgrading the license of relevant sectors, in a bid to prevent illegal imports of oil in the country.
Dr. Walid Tamim, Head of the AOGRA, at a meeting said the Authority will update working license of those companies involved in the business, adding most of oils enter Afghanistan from neighboring country of Iran without a legal proofs.
Meanwhile, he exclaimed Afghanistan is exempted from the United States recent sanctions in Iran, where a number of other countries are as well affected. Afghanistan can make the best out this opportunity by importing oil form Iran.
It comes after a number of residents complained about quality product, mainly oil, which are imported illegally in the country.
