WFP Assistance for 16 million Vulnerable People in Afghanistan

The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) has announced that in the first half of this year, it has provided more than 16 million vulnerable people in Afghanistan food assistance.

The World Food Program write on the “X” platform (Twitter), that 50 per cent of the people who received aid were women and girls.

The source adds that these aids have been provided with the cooperation of China, Finland, Russia, Sweden and the Islamic Development Bank.

Meanwhile, several UN organizations have expressed concern about the lack of funds to help the needy in Afghanistan and have asked the world countries to cooperate in providing the funds needed.
