Russia-Poland Warning: Putin Says It Will Respond To Any Aggression

The Russian president has warned Poland that Moscow will treat any aggression against Belarus with all means at its disposal.

This comes after reports suggesting Poland had deployed troops to its border with Belarus.

The Russian president accused Poland of “territorial ambition” in the territory of the former Soviet Union and said that any aggression against Belarus; Russia’s neighbour and close ally is considered an attack on Russia.

In his televised remarks at the meeting of the Security Council, Putin mentioned Poland and said that he will deal with that country with all the means at his disposal.

“The attack on Belarus is an attack on Russia. We will respond to it with all possible means.”

Putin has accused Poland of direct intervention in the war in Ukraine and said that the western part of Poland is a gift from the former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin to this country, and Russia will remind the Poles of this.

“Poland is directly intervening in the war in Ukraine. They want to have a different position in the region because they believe that western Ukraine today is their historical land, while the western lands of Poland are a gift to them from Stalin. Our friends in Warsaw have forgotten this, we must remind them.”

Meanwhile, the official Polish news agency has announced that it will send its troops to the eastern borders after the arrival of Wagner’s forces in Belarus, and this country rejected any territorial ambitions in Belarus.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said in a tweet that “Stalin was a war criminal and was guilty of murdering hundreds of thousands of Poles, and this historical fact is indisputable.”

At the same time, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), which is worried about the military cooperation between Russia and Belarus, has announced its readiness to support Poland in case of any threat from Belarus.
