Ilham Aliyev, the president of Azerbaijan, called the armed attack on the embassy of this country in Tehran a terrorist attack and condemned it on Twitter.
At the same time, Aykhan Hajizada, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, has announced the possibility of evacuating the embassy of this country in Tehran in the near future.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has said in a statement that the anti-Azerbaijani campaign in Iranian media played a role in this attack.
The statement added that despite security warnings, Iran has not done anything to strengthen the security of the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran.
This is despite the fact that yesterday an armed man attacked the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran, killing one person and injuring two others.
