Amir Abdollahian, in this meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, said Afghanistan is an important member of this organization.
At the same time, he emphasized an inclusive government in Afghanistan and expressed concern about the prohibition of women’s work in non-governmental offices and girls’ education.
On the other hand, Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan said that members of this organization should make Afghanistan a partner of regional economic programs.
It should be mentioned that Economic Cooperation Organization was formed in 1964 by Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey, and then Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan also gained membership.
