Volodymyr Zelenskiy said in a conference in Berlin that the war has prevented the food supply for 200 million people in the world.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in a video message at the International Conference of Agriculture Ministers in Berlin on Saturday (21st January) said: ‘More than 100 ships in the Bosphorus Strait of Turkey are currently unable to continue sailing because Russian representatives have not accepted the joint efforts inspections.
About five months after the start of the war, the representatives of Russia and Ukraine, with the mediation of Turkey and the United Nations, agreed on the export of Ukrainian grains to the international markets through the ‘grain corridor’ in the Black Sea.
A joint commission of representatives of the United Nations, Turkey, Russia, and Ukraine was also formed to monitor the implementation of this agreement, which is headquartered in Istanbul.
Although this agreement was suspended several times, it was extended for another four months in November 2022.
