Ned Price, the spokesman of the US State Department, said that the Islamic Emirate has released these two US citizens as a goodwill gesture.
Welcoming the release of these two US citizens, he added that no prisoners were exchanged for their release.
Meanwhile, a US official has said that these two people arrived in Qatar on Tuesday (20th December).
But the Islamic Emirate has not yet expressed an opinion on this matter.
