UNAMA Emphasized the Release of Five Women’s Rights Activists in Afghanistan

UNAMA has published a statement saying that a month has passed since the arrest of these women, but so far there is no clear information about the charges and the reason for their arrest.

It is said that Zarifa Yaqoubi was arrested by the security forces during a meeting to announce the existence of the ‘Afghan Women’s Movement for Equality’ in November this year.

However, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said that some women are encouraged from outside to start demonstrations and gatherings to create distrust.
