According to an announcement from the Ministry of Public Health, about six million children will be vaccinated against polio during this campaign.
In the announcement, it is stated that during this campaign, children under five will be vaccinated in 194 districts in the south, southeast, east, north, west, and center of Afghanistan.
Previously, in 2022, six rounds of nationwide campaigns and one round of sub-campaigns have been launched in Afghanistan.
This year, two positive cases have been recorded in Kunar and Paktika provinces, while four cases were recorded in 2021 and 56 cases in 2020.
