Bakhtar State News Agency has reported, quoting local officials of Nimroz province that these three water supply networks will be built in the Chakhansur district of this province with a cost of 21 million Afghanis from the UNICEF budget.

Mullah Mohammad Haq Bashir, Acting Director of Rehabilitation and Development of Nimroz Province, said: “After completion of these water supply networks, 450 families will have access to healthy drinking water.

This is while the recent droughts have made it difficult for people to access safe drinking water in a number of provinces.

Currently, in many parts of Afghanistan, people do not have access to safe drinking water, and according to reports, the use of unsanitary water has caused various diseases, including cholera, in those areas.
