During the meeting of the UN Security Council on Monday, Nasir Ahmad Fayeq said: “This council should support a comprehensive political plan that will lead to a stable, prosperous, and inclusive Afghanistan.
At the same time, Fayeq requested the United Nations to use its credibility and work with all parties involved and find a solution way for peace, stability, and prosperity in Afghanistan.
He also asked the Islamic Emirate to ensure Human Rights, including women, reopening girls’ schools and implement a general amnesty.
Although the Islamic Emirate and its opponents have always announced their readiness for inter-Afghani negotiations, no official meeting has been held between the opposing parties in Afghanistan during the last year.
