The United Arab Emirates Reopens its Embassy in Tehran

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, by publishing a statement, said that in order to strengthen the relations between Abu Dhabi and Tehran, this country is sending Saif Mohammad Al-Zaabi as the ambassador of the UAE to Iran.

It should be noted that the United Arab Emirates recalled its ambassador from Iran after the attack on the embassy of Saudi Arabia in Tehran.

In 2016, following the execution of a cleric opposed to the Saudi Arabia’s government, protesters attacked the building of the Saudi embassy in Tehran and its consulate in Mashhad. Although the Iranian government arrested 40 people in connection with these events; but Saudi Arabia cut off its diplomatic relations with Iran in response.
